Tennis Evolution vs SwingVision

Short answer: SwingVision is an iPhone/iPad app that tracks shots, calls lines and makes highlights, on a subscription. Tennis Evolution does one job — a highlight reel of your longest rallies with the hit count, venue and time on the picture — runs on your own computer, and is free (Pro is $19 once). Pick SwingVision for stats; pick Tennis Evolution for a labelled reel without a subscription or an upload.

The tools do not compete on the same step. Any list of rally start and end times works as Tennis Evolution's input, so rallies found by another app or written down by hand can become a labelled reel. See the step-by-step guide and the full comparison of tennis highlight apps.

FAQ

Is there a free alternative to SwingVision for tennis highlights?

For highlight reels, yes: Tennis Evolution is free and open source (up to 5 rallies per reel with a small watermark, or $19 once for Pro). It does not replace SwingVision's shot stats or line calling.

Does Tennis Evolution find rallies automatically like SwingVision?

No. It takes a list of rally times (from sliceapp, your notes or another detector) and then cuts, labels, verifies and exports the reel locally.

Does Tennis Evolution upload my video?

No. It runs on your computer with ffmpeg; there is no account and no upload.
